PROGRAM OVERVIEW
A cruise is the middle of the trip, not the whole trip — and the days on either side are where guests either start relaxed or scramble. A small group of about sixteen wanted to arrive a couple of days before their Hawaii sailing to see Oahu, then take an extra day after the cruise before flying home.
The hard parts were the seams: arriving and settling before embarkation, then catching the ship’s boarding window, and after debarkation, touring and getting to the airport on individual flights. AGT built the pre- and post-cruise land program around the ship’s schedule so the cruise had a relaxed beginning and a clean end.
PRE/POST-CRUISE TIMING CHALLENGE
A land program bracketing a cruise has to solve four things around a fixed sailing date:

Arrive Before the Ship, Settled
Pre-cruise nights and touring have to land guests in Waikiki rested and oriented, not arriving the morning of embarkation hoping flights cooperate.

Make the Embarkation Window
The pre-cruise stay ends at a fixed boarding window; hotel-to-pier transfers have to put the group at the terminal on time.
3.
Pick Up After Debarkation
When the ship returns, the group needs pier pickup, luggage, and a plan for the extra day — not standing at the pier wondering what’s next.
4.
Depart on Individual Flights
Post-cruise, guests leave on their own outbound flights; airport transfers have to fit each one.
AGT SOLUTION
AGT built the land program on both ends of the sailing. Pre-cruise, the group was met at the airport, transferred to a Waikiki hotel for a couple of nights, and toured Oahu — Pearl Harbor and the city — before a hotel-to-pier transfer timed to the ship’s boarding window.
Post-cruise, AGT met the group at the pier, handled luggage, ran an extra day of Oahu touring, and timed departure transfers to each guest’s outbound flight. Every movement was built around the cruise schedule, so the sailing had a relaxed start and a clean finish, all under one Oahu contact.
