Meet the Team Behind Aloha Group Travel
Aloha Group Travel is a Hawaii-based destination management company led by founder Conway Kaka. From our base in Lāʻie on Oʻahu, we coordinate group transportation, programs, and multi-island logistics for planners bringing students, corporate teams, performers, and cruise passengers to the islands. When you work with AGT, a real Hawaii operator owns the plan and answers the phone.

Founder
Conway Kaka, Founder of Aloha Group Travel
Conway Kaka founded Aloha Group Travel to give organizations a dependable, Hawaii-based partner for the operational side of group travel. He is Native Hawaiian, originally from Lā’ie, and a graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Class of 2008.
He began working with Hawaii group programs around 2012 and has more than ten years of experience coordinating transportation, educational programs, cruise logistics, corporate incentive programs, and performing arts programs across Oʻahu, Maui, Kauaʻi, Kona, and Hilo.
Conway understands what is at stake when an organization brings students, executives, performers, or cruise passengers to the islands. Manifests change, flights shift, and vehicles have to be where they are supposed to be. His focus is straightforward: know the details, stay reachable, and make sure someone is accountable for the next step at every stage of the program.
The Operational Work Behind AGT
AGT’s experience is built on the day-to-day mechanics of moving groups through Hawaii. These are the areas AGT and its on-island partner network coordinate directly.
Group Transportation and Movement Planning
Coordinating airport arrivals and departures, manifests, baggage, vehicle assignments, and dispatch timing so every movement lands on schedule.
Educational and Student Programs
Planning campus visits, historic-site programming, admissions, hotel blocks, and chaperone logistics for school and student groups.
Corporate and Incentive Travel
Managing arrival experiences, island activities, group dining, and multiple transportation movements for corporate and incentive programs.
Cruise and Pier Logistics
Handling pier transfers, shore excursions, airport connections, luggage coordination, and post-cruise touring across multiple islands.
Multi-Island Coordination
Sequencing inter-island flights, transfers, and on-island schedules so groups move between islands without gaps or confusion.
Vendor and On-Island Program Management
Confirming transportation providers, activity partners, hotels, and guides, then keeping them coordinated while the program is operating.

Why a Hawaii-Based Partner Matters
Coordinating a group in Hawaii is a logistics problem before it is anything else. Being based in the islands changes how quickly and how well that problem gets solved. AGT operates as a local Hawaii destination management company and single point of program coordination.
Realistic movement times
We plan around actual island geography and traffic, not map estimates, so schedules hold up on the ground.
Multi-island coordination
We sequence inter-island flights and transfers so groups move between islands without wasted time.
Local partner relationships
We work with established Hawaii transportation and activity partners across the islands.
Response when conditions change
When weather, flights, or program conditions shift, someone in Hawaii can adjust the plan in real time.
Support for off-island planners
Planners coordinating from the mainland get a local counterpart who knows how things actually work here.
One accountable point
You always know who owns the next step and who to reach while the program is running.
How We Operate
These are the standards AGT is judged on by the planners who work with us. Each one describes something operational, not a slogan.
Reliability
Movements happen when they are supposed to. Vehicles, transfers, and schedules are confirmed and re-confirmed before the group arrives.
Responsiveness
Questions get answered quickly, during planning and while the program is running. You are not left waiting on a reply when timing matters.
Professionalism
Drivers, greeters, and partners represent your organization well. How the group is treated reflects on you, and we treat it that way.
Partnership
We work as an extension of your team, not a vendor at arm’s length. Your goals for the program become the plan we execute.
Accountability
Partners always know who owns the next step, who is confirming the vendor, and who to contact when the program is operating.
Operational Excellence
The details are planned before they become problems: manifests, timing, contingencies, and the handoffs between them.
Local Expertise
We plan from firsthand knowledge of the islands, not from a brochure, so the plan reflects how Hawaii actually works.
A Coordinated Network Across the Islands
AGT is led directly by its founder and operates through a trusted network of transportation providers, activity partners, hotels, guides, and on-island support professionals across the Hawaiian Islands.
That distinction matters. When you work with AGT, Conway and AGT own the coordination and accountability for your program. The vehicles, venues, and guides are provided by established local partners we select and manage for each program. We do not present contractors or suppliers as AGT employees, and we do not claim to own every vehicle or directly employ every guide.
This structure lets AGT scale a program up or down to fit the group while keeping a single point of coordination. As AGT’s team grows, additional team members will be introduced here.
