PROGRAM OVERVIEW

A 40-person wrestling team — 23 wrestlers and 17 staff and family — came to Oahu for a five-night tournament, and in wrestling the weigh-ins set the clock: transfers had to put the team at the venue early and reliably, every time.

AGT ran the program from a North Shore base — airport transfers, an arrival-day workout at a local practice facility, weigh-in transfers timed to 6 AM starts on both tournament days with evening pickups, four coolers and a food-and-drink budget so athletes were fed and hydrated around weigh-ins, and recovery days at Pearl Harbor, the North Shore, and the Polynesian Cultural Center — with a local concierge owning the operation so coaches focused on competition.

THE OPERATIONAL CHALLENGE

A wrestling tournament runs on the scale and the clock. Four things had to be handled.

1.

Weigh-Ins Set the Clock

Two tournament days started with 6 AM weigh-ins; transfers had to put the team at the venue early and reliably, every time.

2.

A Pre-Competition Workout

An arrival-day workout had to be coordinated at a local practice facility.

3.

Feeding Athletes on Competition Days

Athletes had to be fed and hydrated around weigh-ins — four coolers and a food/drink budget.

4.

Competition Focus + Real Hawaii

The trip had to balance competition focus with an authentic Hawaii experience on recovery days.

PLANNING & PREPARATION

AGT built the five nights around the two tournament days and their 6 AM weigh-ins, from a North Shore base near the competition venue.

Planning concentrated on early, reliable venue transfers, controlled nutrition around weigh-ins, and recovery days that didn’t break competition focus.

North Shore Base

A North Shore property near the competition venue, with airport transfers.

Weigh-In Transfers

Transfers timed to 6 AM weigh-ins on both tournament days, with evening pickups.

Nutrition & Hydration

Four coolers and a food/drink budget so athletes were fed and hydrated around weigh-ins.

Recovery Days

Pearl Harbor, the North Shore, and the Polynesian Cultural Center between and after competition.

EXECUTION — THE AGT SOLUTION

On the ground, AGT ran the 40-person team across five nights from a North Shore base, with a local concierge owning the operation so coaches focused on competition. Day one delivered arrival, a group lunch, check-in, and a practice workout.

On both tournament days, transfers ran to the 6 AM weigh-ins with evening pickups, and athletes were fed and hydrated from four coolers on a food-and-drink budget; recovery days covered a Waikiki snorkel excursion, Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial, the North Shore beaches and shrimp trucks, and a full day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. AGT builds Hawaii team travel around the competition clock.

Plan nutrition and hydration around weigh-ins; coolers and a food budget are operational, not extras.

An arrival-day practice keeps a team sharp before competition.

Recovery days work when a concierge owns the logistics so coaches stay on competition.
